SEO Copywriting Series

SEO copywriting is a really big subject today. And while I agree on-page optimization do play a part, I also know that the search engines formulas to determine your ranking has evolved significantly over the years.

It has come to a stage where what other people say about you is more important than you’re trying to optimize yourself. As a result, if you’re trying to optimize for keyword X and people are linking to you with keyword Y, you’ll probably rank for keyword Y.

To make things worse, if nobody’s linking to you, then it doesn’t matter how SEO’ed your website is… you’ll never rank for competitive keywords.

But fear not. Thanks to social media sites like Squidoo and Digg, everyone and anyone can have their sound heard. And so I think SEO copywriting today is not about optimizing your copy for the search engines.

SEO copywriting today is about optimizing your copy for your readers. Make it so compelling to them that they will think, chat, rave and proclaim your content in every corner of the internet. So that as a result, you’d get a bunch of links pointing to our website.

To help you achieve that dream, I’ve compiled several of my “must-reads” blog posts for those of you who are new with the search engines.

Without further ado, here’s my SEO copywriting series.
