Online Copywriting Series

There is a significant difference when it comes to online copywriting and offline plain-old direct response copywriting. It’s crucial for you to understand what those differences are if you ever want to make it online, especially if you’re already an old-timer offline.

I remember the days when I first got on the online copywriting boat just about a decade ago.

I didn’t know where to get the pictures for my copy (I was a solo player at that time), I didn’t know anything about SEO (something I didn’t need to worry offline), I wasn’t intimate with the online crowd (who has a very different mind compared to those off) and I never knew of the issues that exist in creating a website.

In other words, I was completely lost. But the game was much easier to play back then. There were much less competitions, Google was friendlier and advertising is relatively cheap. Plus, the economy is definitely better than it is right now… especially here in Australia!

It’s much tougher for newbies to get on the boat today than it was a decade ago. With all the bells and jingles and the new stuff introduced daily… there are certainly way more distractions than help!

Now, the point of this page is to help these newbies. People who have just got online and like I was, completely lost. Here’s a short-cut guide for you guys. Read through them and you’ll be way ahead of 90% of all the other newbies who just got online.
