Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 2 years or so, you most definitely have heard of Squidoo. And you’ve heard something great. And that’s why you’re here.
Here’s my experience. I’ve been with Squidoo for long enough. I’ve been a member since July 2007, was chosen to be the first batch of Group 100 Giant Squid ( That means I have more than 100 quality lenses as judged by squidoo’s staff) and has since became a Squid Angel ( That means I can bless or "ding" someone else’s lens).
Now, I know you it can be a little confusing at first but let me explain a little. Basically, Squidoo allows you build a single page "website", called a lens. You then build that website, using modules. There are numerous different modules, such as the text/write modules that allows you to write on it and the guest book module, that allows other people to post a comment.
It’s dead easy.
You’ll then publish and it goes live. Along with your page, ads and google adsense will appear alongside. If someone clicks on the adsense, Squidoo gives you half the amount. That’s how they make money (among many other monetization methods) - and how you make money.
They provide the platform - you provide the content. My humble opinion is nobody does it better them. Forget about the rest and focus on this.
But there are some drawbacks… and that is Squidoo is plagued with bugs! But we are not here to discuss that. I just want you to know about it and don’t get frustrated too fast!
So what does Squidoo have anything to do with you marketing campaign. Loads! But that’s a tip for another.
Come back again in 2-3 days and I’ll tell you how you can cash in on it. You can make more money AND drive more traffic… if you do it right.

I agree. Squidoo and all the other social sites shouldn’t scare you. Don’t get lost in the internet terminology and reduce it all back to concepts you understand. Essentially it is a way of connecting people. Too many get lost in the bs that says the internet is about making money without offering anything of value. If you understand really effective sales copy is purely about connecting someone with something they want then you are on your way.
